What to Expect At Your First Class

So you've signed up for your first class...now what? Check out the tips below so you can hit the ground running...or in this case, erging! 

Preparing for Class:

  • Wear comfortable, athletic clothing.

  • Wear tennis shoes.
  • Bring a water bottle (or purchase one at the front desk).
  • If you're taking the ErgoFlow class, please bring a yoga mat.

When you Arrive:

  • We recommend arriving 10-minutes early for your first class.

  • Check in at the front desk when you arrive. 

  • Head into the studio! Inside the studio you will find cubbies to keep your personal items, complimentary sweat towels, and a water fountain.

  • Meet your coach! If you are new to the machines, your coach will give you a quick demo and answer any questions. Make sure to let your coach know about any injuries so they can provide modifications if necessary.

  • Warm up, stretch, and say hello to your neighbors as you wait for class to start. 

A Typical ErgoFit Class:

  • The class will start with active stretching and mobility.

  • You'll transition to the RowErg, BikeErg, or SkiErg to do a short cardio warm-up. During the warm-up, your coach will go over the three paces we use at ErgoFit: Slow, Steady, and Sprint. The paces correspond with your pace and effort (and they are also located on each machine for easy reference). 
  • After your warmup, your coach will explain the workout and demo the movements. Each workout features different formats, intervals, and movements - so every day is fresh and fun! 
  • During our ErgoFit Signature class, you will complete 4 stations: Rowing, TRX, Biking or Skiing (you choose), and Dumbbells. The order of the stations can vary, but your your coach will guide you through each step! 
  • After the workout is over, you will wipe your equipment down.
  • The coach will lead the class in an optional cool down stretch.

After Class:

  • After class, you are welcome to use our facilities, which include 2 restrooms/changing rooms and a shower. 

  • If you enjoyed your class and would like to come back, you can check in at the front desk about options to purchase a class or membership (or you can purchase online). 

  • We also recommend downloading our Mobile App so you can easily view our schedule and book your next class!
